Nurse Practitioners

Nurse Debbie Durkin (f)

Appointments are available to book in the same way as GP appointments. Debbie is similar to a GP in that she is able to prescribe medications and do referrals. Debbie also holds the occasional nursing clinic and runs our diabetic clinic.

Nurses

Nurse Jenny Rawlinson (f)

Available by appointment. They may be present when the doctor examines you or the doctor may refer you to them. Our practice nurse will advise you about health problems, including wounds and ulcers, removal of stitches and vaccination for foreign travel. Jenny runs clinics for asthma, heart disease, COPD among other things. The nurse also does cervical smears (you will receive written notification when your smear is due).

Available by appointment. They may be present when the doctor examines you or the doctor may refer you to them. Our practice nurse will advise you about health problems, including wounds and ulcers, removal of stitches and vaccination for foreign travel. The nurse also does cervical smears (you will receive written notification when your smear is due).

Healthcare Assistants

Our healthcare assistant supports the practice nurse with their daily work and carries out tasks such as phlebotomy (drawing blood) at the GP's request, blood pressure measurement, new patient checks, NHS health checks and annual reviews. The healthcare assistant may act as a chaperone when a patient or doctor requests one.
