Urgent appointments can only be booked on the day for symptoms or problems that are urgent in nature and cannot wait for a routine appointment.
Phone us on 01484 710853, Monday to Friday from 8:00am to book an urgent appointment if you feel your medical problem cannot wait until the next routine appointment.
When you get in touch, we’ll ask what you need help with.
We will use the information you give us to choose the most suitable doctor, nurse or health professional to help you.
To request a routine appointment:
Routine appointments have a 10 minute slot time. If you have two or more separate problems you wish to discuss with the doctor then please let the reception staff know at the time of booking your appointment so that they can arrange a double slot time if possible.
We run evening and weekend clinics at Rastrick Health Centre, offering appointments to our own patients as well as patients registered with other local GP surgeries.
Evening clinics are held on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 6.30pm to 8.00pm, with weekend clinics available on Saturdays from 9.00am to 5.00pm. You may book in to see a GP, or for a blood test with one of our phlebotomists.
If you are registered with another local GP surgery, please contact your own practice to arrange an appointment at one of these clinics.
If the doctor requests for you to make a minor surgery appointment, it will be booked with Dr Featherstone in a minor op clinic that runs once a month. If the clinic is full, you will be put on a waiting list and you will be contacted and offered an appointment when the next clinic is set up.

Appointments by phone, video call or by text or email can be more flexible and often means you get help sooner.
If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason, please inform us as soon as possible for us to offer it to another patient. If you miss several appointments without good reason, this adversely affects the care of our other patients and we may not been able to keep you on our list.

If you need medical help now, use NHS 111 online or Call 111.
NHS 111 online is for people aged 5 and over. Call 111 if you need help for a child under 5.
Call 999 in a medical or mental health emergency. This is when someone is seriously ill or injured and their life is at risk.
Please tell us:
Whilst we encourage our patients to come to the surgery, where we have the proper equipment and facilities available, we do appreciate this is not always possible. In this respect, if you do need a home visit, you can help us by calling reception before 10am.
You may only request a home visit if you are housebound or are too ill to visit the practice. The home visiting team consists of paramedics who will assess you at home and inform the surgery regarding any further action or treatment that may be required.
You can also be visited at home by a community nurse if you are referred by your GP. You should also be visited at home by a health visitor if you have recently had a baby or if you are newly registered with a GP and have a child under five years.
